RED DOG SALOON

The Brief

Red Dog Saloon is a growing chain of authentic American restaurants serving succulent burgers and Southern-inspired Bar-B-Q classics.

To celebrate the launch of a new Nottingham restaurant, Cartwright Communications commissioned us to make video content to show what Red Dog Saloon is all about and what makes it special.

Our Solution

We proposed making two films featuring stunning shots of the food and restaurants, plus an interview with owner Tom Brooke, cut to some testosterone-fuelled Southern blues and graded to reflect the brand’s look and feel. The films were shared via digital and social media as part of a co-ordinated marketing campaign to launch the new Nottingham restaurant.

Results

150,000 views. Over 3,000 comments, likes and shares on social media

Client quote

"The video really gets across what the restaurant does and what makes it distinctive. It provided a big return on the investment and it really helped to make the restaurant launch campaign a huge success. We love working with Ergo Films - they always deliver on quality and creativity" - Rachel Cullis Dorsett, Cartwright Communications

Birmingham REP – We Are The REP

The Brief

Birmingham Repertory Theatre commissioned a film to sum up what they stand for and showcase the huge amount of skilled work that goes into one of their productions.

The film was designed to be used as part of a wider advocacy campaign, on the theatre web site and on social media.

Our Solution

We proposed filming around one production – The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – to show all the areas of work that went into bringing a show to life. Over a period of several weeks we filmed staff working on the scenery, props, costumes, hair and make-up – as well as stage managers, cast and crew working on the production.

Ergo Films also worked with the REP to create a script about what makes The REP’s work special, which was read by performance poet Polar Bear, who works with the theatre. The film was shared via digital and social media.

Results

Nearly 24,000 views. Huge engagement on social media, including hundreds of comments, likes and shares.

Client quote

"It really captures the essence of the theatre and the people who work here. It’s beautiful, but it also gets across the messages about the work and passion that goes into a production. The reaction from audiences has been fantastic - we’ve had people see the film and love it so much that they had to come and visit the theatre!" - Paul Rees, Head of Marketing, Birmingham REP

BISTROT PIERRE BIRMINGHAM

The Brief

Bistrot Pierre is a group of restaurants serving great value provincial French cooking made with authentic, fresh ingredients in stunning locations. To mark the opening of their new restaurant in Birmingham, we were commissioned to make a series of films to be used as part of a co-ordinated marketing campaign by Cartwright Communications.

Our Solution

We proposed making a suite of films, including a shareable film, a teaser focusing on food preparation and exterior/interior shots of the restaurant, a launch film (which was edited overnight to be shared the next morning), plus a national brand film. Wherever possible the films used shared footage to save time and make best use of material.

The films were shared via digital and social media as part of a co-ordinated marketing campaign to launch the new Birmingham restaurant. The national film has been re-versioned to be used for further restaurant launches.

Results

90,000 views. Huge engagement on social media, including hundreds of comments, likes and shares.
